HUAWEI ECG App arrives in Europe for HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro and HUAWEI WATCH D

Huawei obtains CE certification to deliver advanced ECG and blood pressure monitoring for consumers

Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) has today announced that its latest smartwatch device, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro and HUAWEI WATCH D, has been awarded CE certification for its all-new HUAWEI ECG App¹.

Starting from today, consumers in Europe using the ECG feature on the new HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro series and HUAWEI WATCH D will be able to conduct a medical-grade electrocardiogram reading of their heart, allowing them to conveniently monitor their cardiac rhythm and proactively address potential heart health risks.

With this CE certification, the HUAWEI ECG App has obtained market access qualification from 33 European countries. Other countries have also received ECG certification for the HUAWEI ECG App, including China, Colombia, Thailand and New Zealand.

Huawei’s first smartwatch to receive CE certificate for ECG monitoring in Europe

Developed to help users to stay more informed about their health, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro’s high-performance ECG sensor module can capture a real-time analysis of users’ sinus rhythm and atrial fibrillation. Among many other health issues, this electrocardiogram monitoring can help users identify irregular heart rhythms, which left untreated can result in a stroke. Just touch the electrode on the side for 30 seconds, real-time result can be shown on the watch after the measurement

What’s more, the smartwatch’s cutting-edge PPG sensors can enable users to screen for arteriosclerosis, while its tailored health tips can further advise them on how they can further boost their cardiovascular health.

The HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro’s new and improved electrode technology, which has made electrocardiogram signal collection more accurate and responsive. Comprised of HUAWEI’s TruSeen™ 5.0+ heart rate monitor and PVD-coated electrodes on the curved, transparent neocrystalline caseback, this high-end ECG feature can deploy eight photoelectric sensors in a ring formation, capturing enhanced signals and filtering out interference, to provide users real-time results. Thanks to this advanced health tracking technology, users of the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro can monitor their heart rate on a 24-hour basis and can receive immediate, real-time alerts whenever their heart strays from its normal rhythm.

This newly-certified ECG monitor is not the only health tracking feature that the new HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro boasts. Capable of monitoring users’ SpO2 levels as well as being equipped with Huawei’s TruSeen™ 5.0+ heart rate monitor, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro also includes the HUAWEI TruSleep™ 2.0 sleep monitoring, an ever-ready stress monitor, and a healthy-living, check-in task reminder.²

HUAWEI WATCH D further bolsters Huawei’s health offering

At the same time, HUAWEI WATCH D, a smartwatch device that can provide accurate blood pressure measurements³ and ECG analysis is now CE-certified as well. Contained within its highly compact form intricate blood pressure components, like a mini pump and an airbag, the HUAWEI WATCH D is capable of featuring a margin of error within ±3 mmHg⁴, courtesy of its high-precision pressure sensor, its meticulous pressure feedback controls, and its macromolecular tensile strap.

HUAWEI WATCH D allows you to set customized measurement plans, based on which it will send out blood pressure reminders at scheduled times, such as wakeup and bedtime, so that you can stay on top of your blood pressure as soon as it changes.
